Complimentary Cosmetic Consultation

Porcelain veneers can work for many cosmetic situations. Dr. Wych will examine your teeth and mouth to see if veneers will be the right option to correct your smile. He will also see if you are a candidate for minimal prep veneers. You will get a chance to review other veneer cases and to look at different types of smiles. Dr. Wych will discuss all your options with you and answer any of your questions.
About Our Veneers

Dr. Wych uses MACVENEERS, considered to be some of the best-looking and strongest porcelain veneers available. MAC technicians are highly skilled with years of specialized training. They perform the sophisticated and artistic tasks necessary to give patients a beautiful, natural smile. Dr. Wych works directly with the technician to create veneers that are exactly the right shade, shape and look for your smile. MACVENEERS are long-lasting and have been proven to last up to 20 years or more. Unlike some other brands, they won’t stain or fade.

Minimal Preparation Veneers

Dr. Wych can also create minimal preparation veneers. These are also made out of porcelain veneers and require very little work on your teeth to be able to place the veneer. They are not necessarily right for all conditions and Dr. Wych can evaluate your smile and teeth to see if they will work for you.
Our Procedure

Dr. Wych takes digital photos and using Envision imaging software, he models on the computer how your smile will look. You are involved in this process and approve the final look. He then takes impressions of your teeth and makes wax models to complete your veneers design in readiness for the creating of your veneers. If any preparatory work is needed for successful veneers treatment, such as bite adjustment or teeth whitening for other teeth, that is included in your treatment plan. The placing of veneers usually takes two visits, each lasting about an hour. After your first visit you will have temporary veneers placed while your veneers are being crafted and to give you a chance to see if you like the basic look and feel of them. After a couple of weeks you get your permanent veneers placed.
About Porcelain Veneers and their Benefits

Veneering literally means removing a portion of a tooth and placing a porcelain veneer over the top and edge of the tooth. Bonding them into place to change the shape, color, position and texture of your current smile. The porcelain veneers have a lifelike appearance and durability that only porcelain restorations can offer. They will not discolor or wear like natural tooth enamel. Veneers look natural and aesthetically pleasing, stain resistant and soft on gums. In some cases, veneers can serve a restorative purpose and can protect a damaged tooth from further harm. With today’s technology, porcelain veneers can last up to 20 years. In addition to enhancing the color and brightness of a smile, they can straighten and reshape teeth for a more youthful appearance.
Porcelain veneers can correct:
-
Spaces between your teeth
-
Broken or chipped teeth
-
Unsightly, stained or washed-out fillings
-
Permanently stained or discolored teeth
-
Misshapen or crooked teeth
-
Dark, yellow or stained teeth
Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a procedure that utilizes a composite resin (tooth-colored material) to cover flaws in your teeth. A thin coating of bonding agent (dental adhesive) is applied to the surface of your tooth. Dr. Wych will sculpt, color and shape the material to provide an aesthetic result. A high-intensity light hardens the composite material and the surface is finely polished.

Dental Bonding or Veneers?

In most situations, veneers and crowns are better solutions for cosmetic work than dental bonding. Dental bonding is usually a less expensive solution, but it does not resist stains as well as crowns or porcelain veneers and is not as long-lasting. Veneers are a better way to avoid stains or chipping.
