Getting together with friends to watch the Super Bowl is an American tradition, typically including lots of super snacks…but that shouldn’t be at the expense of your teeth.

Hummus with Vegetables: Chickpeas don’t contain saturated fat or cholesterol and they are high in protein, which means that hummus is a good choice for Super Bowl snacking. Chickpeas are also high in folic acid, which keeps your mouth healthy by promoting cell growth throughout your body. Vegetables are a healthy alternative to chips – and did you know that cucumbers have been shown to help freshen breath and naturally whiten teeth? Carrots contain beta-carotene that your body uses to create vitamin A, which builds strong teeth.
Cheese and Meats Tray : Cheese is a tooth powerhouse food that contains calcium, which is the key ingredient in the mineral that strengthens tooth enamel and bones. Make Yogurt-Based Dips : Switching out the sour cream that is found in so many dips with Greek yogurt will make a difference in the health of your teeth without affecting the taste and it’s a dental super food! The good bacteria found in yogurt are believed to slow the growth of cavity-causing bacteria. And researchers have found that eating at least six ounces of yogurt each day greatly reduces the compounds that cause bad breath.
Make a Fruit Salad : Apples can act as a natural toothbrush by helping to stimulate your gums, increase saliva flow in the mouth, and preventing cavity buildup as they cleanse the teeth surface. Plus they are loaded with various healthy vitamins and minerals.
