  1. What are veneers?
Veneers are thin shells of special dental grade materials such as porcelain or composite resin. These veneers are custom fabricated for you, and are securely affixed to the front of your teeth, giving you a fresh, bright new smile.
  2. What are veneers used for?
Veneers are a versatile solution for a variety of dental problems, including:
    • Crooked teeth
    • Gaps between teeth
    • Unevenly sized or shaped teeth
    • Cracked, chipped or pitted teeth
    • Stained and discolored teeth
  3. Do porcelain veneers stain with normal things like tea, coffee and wine?
Porcelain veneers should never stain, however if your teeth have a propensity to stain you should try to avoid or minimize the behaviors that lead to staining, and look after them as recommended above with normal hygiene and maintenance procedures.
  4. How long does the procedure take?
The porcelain veneer procedure takes place over two office visits. First, your teeth are prepared and a custom mold is taken. Using this mold, we will create your unique custom veneers. Once your veneers are complete, we will securely affix them to the front of your teeth. A small amount of enamel is removed to accommodate the shell so this procedure is usually not reversible.
  5. How long will my porcelain veneers last?
Depending on individual factors, you can expect your porcelain veneers can last ten to 20 years.
